Dear Parents,
At Modern Montessori Pre International (MMI) we believe in the following philosophy. Every parent wants the best for their child. It is also now accepted that Early Years Education is essential in order to develop the child to his/her fullest potential. Because of this, parents are now looking at different systems of early childhood education to provide the child with the right setting and environment that is conducive to the child's learning and development. One such system that out stands even after a hundred years is the Montessori Method where there is respect for the child and the environment. About School
Modern Montessori International Pre School is a play school which is located in Palam Vihar. The locality is a prominent one in the region of Gurgaon. It is an English medium and co-educational school. The school caters to the educational needs of the little ones with the aim to develop them into better citizens of tomorrow.
The Modern Montessori International (MMI) Group, a global educational organization, specializing in the Montessori Method of early childhood education has grown to encompass more than 40 centers worldwide. The MMI Group inked a joint venture agreement with the Jaipurias, owners of R. J. Corp., on 19th January 2003, in New Delhi.
Through 8 years of successful functioning, the MMI brand has established itself as one of the most effective in Pre-school education. The MMI staff has been working dedicatedly & diligently in this field to promote an internationally designed education in the country. The Montessori system is fascinating purely because it is a 100 year old methodology, but it is still relevant in this age. The uniqueness of this system of education lies in the fact that it is child-centric.
The curriculum in MMI Pre-school is designed in a way to impart developmentally appropriate information to the children and it is ever evolving. In this approach the children learn at their own pace and learning is effortless. They promote the development of a child’s social skills, emotional well-being and body-mind coordination as well as cognitive preparations for future intellectual activities. The whole array of Montessori materials has been designed based on the belief - the child must do it himself or it will never be done.
The Teacher Training program for Diploma in Montessori Method of Education, conducted by MMI Group is also highly acclaimed and the trainees are well placed in prestigious schools all over India. The Course is designed for parents, teachers or any individual who wish to have a firm understanding in child development, effective parenting skills and Montessori philosophy. The Diploma is awarded by Modern Montessori International, London.
MMI aims at preparing true Montessorians and believes that its students will make a difference and guide the future generations to become responsible, well balanced citizens of the world.
Infrastructure
For a child, comfort and familiarity in the environment are paramount. A nurturing atmosphere that caters to the child’s needs is a prerogative for any school. At MMI we provide this through our state-of–the-art facilities and infrastructure, making the school a second home for the child.
Our classrooms are bright and inviting with several attractive and child-centric materials for the children to work with. We also have a library with a wide assortment of books on various subjects for the children to browse through. The audio-visual room is stocked with CDs and DVDs to reinforce concepts taught in class and also child friendly movies for the children to enjoy. In addition, the children are introduced to computers to enhance their cognitive skills while providing an interesting visual aid for learning. We have also recently introduced the MMI Clinic, designed specifically to help identify children with various learning disabilities and help them overcome it in the best possible way.
At MMI, we believe in the overall development of children, which is why we lay equal stress on learning as well as play and fun for the children. Our indoor and outdoor play areas ensure the children get ample time to enjoy themselves, indirectly learning skills like teamwork and sharing, while socializing with their peers. The yoga room provides a serene space for the children to understand the art, helping them condition their minds and bodies from an early age. We also have a splash pool for the children to cool off in the hot summer months. Apart from this, the children enjoy dance, drama and music and movements with their teachers.
Growing children need wholesome and well-balanced food to stay strong and develop both physically and mentally. Therefore, the children are provided with nutritious and flavoursome mid-day meals, giving them the energy to make the most of their time spent in school.
The importance of safety and health when dealing with young children is fundamental. This is why a doctor is available on call to ensure that the children will be well taken care of in case of any medical emergencies. Moreover, every Montessori teacher undergoes mandatory first aid training to enable her to handle any minor accidents in the school.
Transport facility is another service provided at MMI, with air-conditioned vans available for pick-up and drop, to and from the school. With the inclusion of each of these facilities at MMI, all the young ones are guaranteed an environment conducive to their growth and wellbeing in every sphere.
